Dear colleagues,

Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching Professor who will actively participate in teaching new and existing curriculum within the subject of Quantitative Bioscience and Engineering (QBE). Mines is currently developing a new multi- and interdisciplinary undergraduate program at the interface between biology, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering, data science, and mathematics. We are particularly interested in candidates who have the potential and desire to work closely with existing faculty to develop our QBE curriculum, including a two-semester, sophomore-junior level course, Introduction to Quantitative Bioscience and Engineering. There may also be opportunities to teach graduate level courses within our QBE graduate program. A qualified applicant will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Mines encourages applications from qualified candidates who will contribute to the diversity, inclusion and excellence of our academic community through their teaching, service and research. More information can be found on the Mines’ HR website: https://jobs.mines.edu/en-us/listing/Last but certainly not least, Mines is a wonderful place to live and work if you love both the urban (Denver!) and the outdoors (unparalleled outdoor recreation!).

Please share this email with anyone you think might be interested in the position. Also, feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the position. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in applied mathematics, statistics, and data science!

Best regards,
Karin
